Ek pravasi Mazdoor.. Hindi emotional poem by Jagmohan Singh

Image

External beauty ... the ruler of all attributes

Image
When sometimes you feel you had been deprived of a happiness you deserved, for something that doesn't define your inner qualities, you feel wronged. Did you ever think you could have done something to have been born in a beautiful skin than what you have? We never have such unnecessary thoughts because we know, this is not in our hands. Then why are there people blaming and people being blamed, for only their external beauty? A blame game for something you didn't even do and have no control over. It doesn't even define the person's real self, but people greatly depend upotge reassurance a person's external beauty gives for his/her goodness in the society.      No body in the world would go for a cellphone with comparatively less features, in comparison to a phone with a far better quality, more features and safer in the same price range.  Do you know, that the melanin in the human skin prevents it from sunburns and is found more in the...

Main ek LADKA hun ... Hindi poetry on gender stereotyping by Sonal Singh

Image
'Main ek LADKA hun' is one of our best creations till date which expresses out a topic that is not much thought about. It focuses basically upon gender stereotyping and how we have categorised works, choices, colours, jobs and responsibilities on the basis of gender. And much more than that, it focuses on the struggles that a male has to face in the society for having a broad mindset and his decision to gender equality.      A male, he might be a husband, a brother, or a father, has often faced humiliation and us ridiculed if he goes against this stereotyping, and chooses to work differently. We all are no strangers to the capabilities of both the genders and have seen people raising their voices for women empowerment. But, it's still a tragedy that people hardly think that the males in the society would be having any troubles in thinking out of the box. We hardly have any idea about the problems, the men in our surroundings face. Males do...

The social stigma against COMPLAINS..

Image
The human race is evolved with an ability to perceive what's going on around in the environment. We have a cognitive ability and that is what makes us realise if there is something wrong going on around us. It helps us to raise our voice and ask for help or even complain to save ourselves from that wrong thing. But when the matter comes to a problem within us or with the people around us, and if this cognitive ability comes into action we are somewhat under an external pressure and resistance to not bring it out in public.      These are a wide range of topics such as, a mental health issue, an issue with the behaviour of a family friend or a relative, an issue with your own family or parents, an issue with someone socially powerful and sometimes even those who are a part of some authorities, etc. There might be more in this list or maybe some different versions of the same story. But there is one thing that is common, and that is the resis...
