External beauty ... the ruler of all attributes

When sometimes you feel you had been deprived of a happiness you deserved, for something that doesn't define your inner qualities, you feel wronged. Did you ever think you could have done something to have been born in a beautiful skin than what you have? We never have such unnecessary thoughts because we know, this is not in our hands. Then why are there people blaming and people being blamed, for only their external beauty? A blame game for something you didn't even do and have no control over. It doesn't even define the person's real self, but people greatly depend upotge reassurance a person's external beauty gives for his/her goodness in the society.
No body in the world would go for a cellphone with comparatively less features, in comparison to a phone with a far better quality, more features and safer in the same price range.
Do you know, that the melanin in the human skin prevents it from sunburns and is found more in the skin of people who live in the region near the equator, or those who have to remain in the sunlight for long time. A great mechanism in the human body indeed, but what do we prefer? A skin with no such features, one that is not dark in colour.
These beauty standards have been dominating the mankind since ages and has continued to pollute our brains and thought process as well.
There have been a number of reforms, people fought against injustice, but still, there have still been injustice on the basis of outer beauty all the way. The basic idea is that the one that looks good, is good.
Despite people being so much advanced and modern in their thinking, why is this still a cause for anyone to bother? It is nobody but ourselves. How often do you think of a life partner who would not be good looking? Never, isn't it?
Well, an honest reason based statement would be, that good looks defines the amount of love a person has for themselves, thereby making time and efforts to keep themselves presentable. But the problem is our very own view towards this ideology. What we think is about those qualities that are not under our control, skin colour, bodyweight and the hair that we have. A basic requirement and responsibility is to look decent and not to change yourself originality.
Another inappropriate mindset that gives fuel to this fire is the thinking that it is bad to be dark in complexion, or having less hair, or not having any so called beauty standards. People know there are other people in the world who like a fairer skin great hair and amazing sense of fashion. Thus making other people insecure of their own self. The already low self esteem since their childhood, grows to self hatred somehow if in adulthood they feel ridiculed in the basis of their external skin.
People don't like their own self, they begin to go for products that have been marketed by the manufacturers, targeting their audience's insecurity. A product that should be banned to have spread such a filthy mentality among people for years, continue to grow day by day with the reason that it can be a solution.
We can blame everyone else but ourselves. So how can we expect things to change. We can surely learn to love ourselves the way we already are. We can also learn that person is beautiful by his or her external old. It's a tragedy that such a thought still exists, where a person with no attractive physical features is not even considered in the first place, no matter how he is from inside.
A simple understanding and sense of maturity is the only way this notion can be eradicated. Learn to accept yourself the way you are and not just accept but learn to love yourself. And if it is the case of someone else you think about, as not beautiful, I have only one message for you.
Do realise the truth that external beauty is hardly of any significance if you are able to know the goodness of a person. External beauty is always temporary and doesn't even hold any responsibility for a person's honesty, loyalty or rightfulness. Skin color is just another color, a person with a dark skin color is just another person made by the same Almighty as anyone else. A person with great physical features may not be a great person at heart also and there is no relationship between the two. A mindset as such where looks are a priority is just a kind of immaturity that is common amongst the masses. As we all have heard, and is rightly said, "All that glisters is not gold."  So start behaving sensibly and start with yourself having changed your age old mindset. Let the love you give, be as pure as of a mother to a child, which has no boundaries of how the child looks like. If you want real and true love in your life, learn to see through the person's skin, deep into their heart. You will find the twin flame then.
