Poem:-

देकर वफा का नाम,

बेवफ़ा के जैसा दगा दिया।

तेरे इस कर्म पर निसार,

तूने मुझको जीना सिखा दिया।

जानें किस तरह की ये दिल्लगी है।

क्या हुआ जो ऐसी सजा मिली?

बस, इतना सा था,

गुनाह कि मैंने,

दिल उसी से लगा लिया।

देकर वफ़ा का नाम जिसने,

बेवफ़ा के जैसा दगा दिया।

कमाल का जो सबक मिला है।

मिट गए हैं अब सभी गिले,

सदके जाऊं,

लख लख बारी,

अंज़ाम इश्क का दिखा दिया।

तेरे कर्म पर निसार,

तूने मुझको जीना सिखा दिया।

बहुत ही मुश्किल अब हो चला है।

जहां में अब इंसान ढूंढना,

आज करता फिर,

कल मुकरता,कि,

ऐसा कब वायदा किया!

Central idea:- 

     

     A poem that tries to reflect the feeling of betrayal when someone you had trusted, cheats on you. Fooling someone in the name of love, might be a source of fun or benefits for one person but it is a reason for someone to never trust anyone else in life ever again. A person after being betrayed, not just loses his self confidence, but also a sense of inner happiness. Everytime the person thinks of trusting someone, they get freaked out. Life becomes much of a calculation for them and not a mere experiences of different taste. Every little bit of suspense turns them impatient. Their self esteem and confidence becomes so low that the left over space is simply filled with insecurities. No matter what happens if a person is strong enough, he or she can face any hardship or difficulty even if it is something like this. But such experiences brings with it some lessons. And thus, the person becomes less sensitive to emotions very often. This happens in order to save themselves from facing another emotional breakdown. But another thing that the person learns is to know more about the real taste of the world and in a better way. 

     The poem represents the ordeal of probably most of us and such an ordeal though small or big, helps us to learn how to differentiate between good and bad. Thus, it's a must read poem that every adolescent and grown-up must have a look, read and share to their loved ones too.
