Vo Lakshmi jo puji nahi jaati... Hindi kavita

This is a hindi poetry which brings out the feelings of being a part of such a society where females are often treated as people who do not have any authoritative role in a family. Be it their parents house or their in-laws' , a woman has to struggle hard to find a place that she can call her own. A lot of reforms and newly made laws have however made it clear that a female is as equally a rightful owner to her parents'property as the male child but this is just a law that hardly people think they should even bother about.

Even in the at her husband's house where a woman should be considered as a family member, years pass when she is taunted for her upbringing, and reminded that she is from some other family.

Honestly, there are a big number of families even today, who believe that a woman's universe lies around the happiness and we'll being of the male members of her family.

Here's the poem that brings out this message and tells us about the plight of being a girl child.

Ma kehti hai tu iss ghar ki nahi,

Kisi aur ghar ki amaanat hai...

Aur vo kehta hai tum maa nahi meri,

Aakhir kya meri zamaanat hai..?

Jeet aur yash toh tumse hai,

Fir haar ka kaaran main kaise?

Aashirwad se toh Unki gaurav hai,

Takraar ka kaaran main kaise?

Kagaz par toh haqdaar hun main,

Haq maang lun toh doshi ban jaati..

Apmaan sehne ki deewar hun main,

Vidroh karun toh krodhi kehlaati..

Koi devi samjhta toh koi jooti,

Insaan samjhte toh kuchh baat alag hoti...

Koi vachan ginaaye toh koi bedi,

Rishta nibhaate toh kuchh baat alag hoti..

Ek tarfa bas dharm nibhaana,

Yhi mera astitva nahi..

Maan dena, sammaan dena,

Keval mera kartavya nahi..
